Summary:
This position is responsible for providing professional nursing care for patients following all standards and practices.

Prioritize daily patient schedule and adjusts as appropriate.
Schedule, reschedule, cancel, and discharge patients correctly through the scheduling program.
Understand billing services and processes.
Gather appropriate patient information for the Infusion / Outpatient Treatment.
Communicate with specific provider's office staff to ensure patient information is accurately conveyed or received.
Start IV's, administer IV medication as ordered along with mixing the proper medication, including IV solutions.
Perform general nursing care to patients.
Administer prescribed medication and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and report any reactions to provider.
Prepare equipment for use during treatments, examinations, and testing of patients.
Maintain timely flow of patients, ensures priority is given to emergency situations.
Assist in scheduling additional patient testing.
Instruct patients and family on medication and treatment instructions.
Provide proper charting in a timely manner.
Alerts provider to phone messages from other providers and handles appropriately.
Function as relief for other nursing personnel as appropriate.
Properly handle and dispose of biohazardous infectious waste.
Attend and participate in departmental meetings / in-services, quality improvement program, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications State of Nebraska RN License or Multi-State RN License.
Current Chemo certification or willing to complete within 6 months of hire date (HCMC will cover costs of certification).
Current BLS certification.
ACLS certification.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, policies, and manuals.
Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers and clients.
Recommended Skills Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Acls) Basic Life Support Billing Communication Medical Emergency Nursing Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
